Laird Sillimon was born and raised in New Orleans,
Louisiana.
For
over 13 years he worked full time in the music ministry
in
Maryland .
In 2001 Laird and his family relocated to California
were he is Associate Pastor and Music Department
Chairman at
Christian Life Center's
Mega church, under Pastor Nathaniel Haney.
Laird is a licensed minister in
the
United Pentecostal Church, Intl,
and has over 31 years of extensive Music Ministry
experience stretching from the Gulf Coast, where he was
born, and then from the East Coast to finally the West
Coast. . In addition to his full time music ministry, he
currently is Stockton Christian School High School's
Pre-Calculus instructor, and is one of the music
coordinators and instructors in the music & math
departments of Christian Life College.
Laird
has been chosen, once again to serve on the Pentecostal
Music Association (PMA) Board of Directors for the
United Pentecostal Church International.
His education includes; B.S.,
Mechanical Engineering, Howard University, Washington,
D.C. His VISION
is “Cultivating
Apostolic Music for TODAY!”
As an accomplished songwriter he
has seen his music recorded by
Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar
on several
occasions, and as recent as summer of 2008, Pentecostals
of Alexandria,
NorCal,
Passion in Praise in Modesto, CA, JCM, and his original
home church, Apostolic Outreach Center in New Orleans,
LA
He has produced the “He Shall”
CD/DVD project recently released by CLC in Stockton, CA,
and is currently producing their next live recording
which was recording on January 28, 2009; both of these
projects will have had the co-production efforts of
Kevin Bond,
a 10 time Grammy Award winning producer. Laird wants to
see Apostolic Music in the MAIN STREAM, reaching people
with our message!!!
